As Bruce Forsyth’s career enters it’s seventh decade,  "Bruce Forsyth On Bruce Forsyth" is an intimate self-portrait of a man who has entertained so many different generations. It is about a career begun at the age of 14 in a country at war; about an ambition and talent that took more than sixteen years to find recognition and about surviving at the very top of a notoriously precarious business for more than forty years thereafter.   In his own words combined with carefully selected archive material and interviews with those who know him best of all, it’s a fascinating story.

The program is filmed on location in both England and Puerto Rico, his second home and birthplace of his wife, Wilnelia.  From the Babbacombe Theatre in Torquay to the stage of The London Palladium,  from the house in which he grew up in Edmonton to his mansion on Wentworth Golf Course, from the Windmill Theatre (now a lap-dancing club) to his book launch at The Dorchester Hotel, the story of his life is told in his own words in the places in which so many of the key events occurred.

While the programme primarily consists  of originally shot footage, it also includes some very special archive material from 1958 onwards.  Selected moments from "Sunday Night At The London Palladium", his 'One Man' Show and debut at The Winter Garden on Broadway combined with glimpses of his work with, amongst others,  Sammy Davis Jnr., Sir Elton John, Bette Midler and Tommy Cooper underscore the story of a glittering career.
