IMWP was formed in 1996 by Ian Wilson. The company has produced both factual and entertainment television programs but has come to specialise in stand up comedy. It has just completed producing "The World Stands Up", a series of 20 half hour programs for Comedy Central in the USA, Paramount Comedy in the UK and The Comedy Channel in Australia.  Having produced more than a 100 stand up programs in the last seven years, it has the largest independent library of this genre in the UK.   In addition to television production, the company is also involved in staging live events.
